Pregnancy to age five
Calm, personalised support for the early years.
Right beside you, from the start.
A registered nurse, midwife and maternal child health nurse — in the quiet of your home, one family at a time. Not more advice. Just the right support, at the right time.
Is this you?
You've read the books. You've searched for answers. And still, it can feel hard.
Not because anything is wrong — but because it doesn't always feel clear.
- This is normal — not every unsettled moment is a problem.
- You're not doing anything wrong.
- Not everything needs fixing. Sometimes it needs understanding.
- They're not being difficult. They're communicating.
The approach
We help you understand what you're already seeing.
No rigid method. No one-size-fits-all. We look at your child, your family, and the moment you're in — and respond from there.
Start here
Tell us where you are. A short, honest intake — no forms that make you feel behind.
We look together
We talk through what your child is showing you, and what you already know.
A plan that fits
Small, doable changes — practical and evidence-based, adjusted gently as things shift.
We stay alongside
Support between sessions, for the questions that come up once you're in it.
Ways to work together
Support that fits your moment.
Start with one conversation. There's no pressure to continue.
Ask Alison
A short call for a single question — reassurance or a clear next step, when you don't need a full session.
Alongside Consultation
A 60-minute consult for sleep, feeding, settling or behaviour — with a written summary and a plan that fits.
Calm Starts
Ongoing support through the early months — an initial consult, two follow-ups and four weeks of email support.

Meet Alison
Clinical depth, brought into the calm of your home.
A Maternal & Child Health Nurse, Midwife and Parenting Educator with more than 20 years supporting families through pregnancy, the newborn period and early childhood. Calm, practical and evidence-based — building your confidence through understanding, not instruction.
Walking with you, not ahead of you.
Our promise
You don't have to figure it out alone.
Helping parents feel calm, confident and supported — through evidence-based guidance, practical strategies and compassionate care.
Good to know
Questions, answered calmly.
Do you replace my GP or child health nurse?
No. Alongside Alison provides education, guidance and support — it doesn't replace medical care from your GP, paediatrician or maternal & child health service. We work alongside them, adding the time, context and reassurance the system often can't.
What ages do you support?
Pregnancy through the early years — sleep, feeding, settling, development, toddler behaviour and parent wellbeing.
How do sessions take place?
Most consultations are online via Zoom or by phone. In-home visits are available across metro Melbourne (a travel fee may apply further out).
I'm not sure which support I need.
Start with Ask Alison, or get in touch and we'll find the right fit together. There's no pressure to continue.
