Meet Alison

I walk alongside parents — with calm guidance, practical support and genuine care.

Because parenting was never meant to be done alone.

Alison Lee — Maternal & Child Health Nurse and Midwife

After more than 20 years as a nurse, midwife and Maternal & Child Health Nurse, I noticed a pattern that repeated itself again and again.

Parents weren’t struggling because they didn’t love their children enough. They weren’t struggling because they weren’t capable. They were struggling because they were overwhelmed.

Pregnancy often comes with classes, books, appointments and preparation for birth. Yet once families arrive home with their baby, many are left wondering: what now? How do I know if my baby is getting enough milk? Why won’t they sleep? Is this normal? Am I doing this right?

In a world filled with social media advice, conflicting opinions and well-meaning family members, many parents are left feeling more confused than supported.

Throughout my career — in hospitals, Special Care Nurseries, Maternal & Child Health services and in families’ homes — I’ve seen that what parents need most is not perfection. They need reassurance. They need practical guidance. They need someone who can help them filter through the noise and focus on what matters most.

I created Alongside Alison to provide the kind of support I believe every family deserves — calm, evidence-based, compassionate and free from judgement. I don’t believe there’s one perfect way to parent. I believe in helping parents understand their baby, trust their instincts, and make decisions that feel right for their family.

The name says exactly how I work. I don’t tell parents what they must do — I walk alongside them, offering knowledge, guidance and encouragement through one of the biggest transitions of their lives.
